If there ever were a t-shirt I would spend over a hundred dollars on, this would hands down, without a doubt be it. Future Sentiments dress-like t-shirt made of shiny silver polyester (with soft cotton carpet print on the front) is eye-catching as it is versatile. Wear it alone as a dress, or pair it with leggings or slim-fitting pants. You’ll want to keep your silhouette streamlined and clean on your lower half since this shirt carries a good deal of volume. Petite-framed damsels, I recommend opting for the shorter version of this shirt to save yourself some styling grief. You can even share it with your boyfriend if he’s been good!

Every year, at about this time, fall catalogs start rolling through my mailbox as if I’ve won the lottery. Though I spend a significant portion of my time perusing the internet each and every day (like most), I secretly love flipping through a (paper) catalog and tearing out its most inspiring pages. Lo and behold, on just such an occasion, I came upon these gorgeous loafers from Antik Batik sold exclusively through Free People. The alluring shine of the shoe’s dazzling silver and copper discs gives the illusion of constellations set against a black sky, covering your feet…

And some more good news–if you haven’t had the pleasure of skimming through this month’s FP catalog, you can now view a digital version here… So start your perusing ladies! I’ll see you at the finish line.

No matter what you do, you simply can’t go wrong with ANY shade of these beauts!

Allow me to introduce to you the DRESS OF MY DREAMS: Shakuhachi’s Heavy Metal Bell Sleeve Dress. This is a dress that exceeds all of my wildest expectations, albeit a bit on the pricey side. But hey, if the $362 is within your budget, we say, snag it, you lucky lady! She’s a keeper.

Holy moly, now this is what I call one hot mutt of a shoe. Part oxford, part peep-toe, part sexy high heel cut-out (swoon), J.Crew’s amazing Keaton heel is, in my humble opinion, actually worth that $200 price tag, ladies. In fact, these have actually been marked down from $300—look at you, bargain shopper! But if you still find yourself feeling a bit guilty the morning after purchase, remember to take solace in the fact that you are indeed filling that void in your checking account by bringing new meaning to the words hot-to-trot. Right now, I’m beyond obsessed with tiny cross-body bags. In the summer, especially at crowded concerts or in sweaty subway cars, I prefer to have that handsfree, ready-for-anything feeling. That being said, since I also have a long-standing romance with structured, wood frame purses, Armani Exchange’s Wood Frame Cross-body Bag ($88) seems to be just the ticket for those soon-to-be carefree–and newly handsfree–days of summer to come…

Who needs a thong when it’s built in to your jeans?!

Hey, ladies: Lookin’ for a money-saver than can double as a moneymaker Tuesday nights at the club? Well, look no further than Sanna’s of Brazil, makers and masterminds behind the bikini pant. Sure, one may think they’re a little steep at around $120 but hey, we’re talking about an investment piece here. Just think of all the cash you’ll be saving by ditching your monthly panty run to VS and going quasi-commando in these babies. And, let’s not even begin to think about all the compliments you’ll be getting as you show off that sweet tribal tramp stamp.

The bikini pant is available in classic blue denim, black, or white–making them super simple to incorporate into your current wardrobe. Or, give this spring’s 70’s trend a whirl by pairing with a crop-top and platforms (Extra credit: Go hippie vegan-friendly and opt for clear plastic heels!). BUY THIS NOW!

I’ll be honest. Unlike some of the other VG staffers, I haven’t summoned the strength to put on a maxi dress, walk out the door, and not laugh at myself. Don’t get me wrong, I love the look… on someone else. I’ve even bought different styles and still I look down and think: Something is missing.

That something is this something. At $135, the AllSaints Fitch Tailcoat completes the total maxi look. It also accents my curves (and lack thereof) in all the right places; there are no fussy buttons to deal with as with a regular cardigan, and the double placket drapes beautifully every time I slip it on. Available in acid bitter or chalk (or both), this piece is made of lovely linen and cotton–lightweight enough to wear all summer long.

AllSaints made it possible for me to master the maxi.

Why? Because we could all use a little mint green swag in our lives, especially around this time of the year, as we’re busy prepping our closets full of spring-worthy-wear. This bag calls to mind for me the days of Hard Candy nail polish, Cadbury Mini Eggs, and other pastel yumminess that we ladies can’t help but intrinsically CRAVE during the days leading up to (and including!) spring. Bottom line: buy this crossbody now if you’ve got some splurging to do–I can’t think of a better way to go. (She’s flawless!)

Handbags from Foley + Corinna’s spring line have finally made their debut, and let’s just say, there are definitely a few charmers among the bunch practically beckoning for us to whisk them away into the sweet refuge of our closets. But the voice that rung the loudest? That’d belong to F+C’s Woven Disco City Bag. A fresh, new spin on the lovable and classic Disco City, this enhanced adaptation KNOWS how to WORK. Vamp up any outfit by slinging this show-stopper over your shoulder and go. Loathe swapping your purse-ables daily? This bag has you written all over it. Fitting for day or for night, this diminutive (but magically spacious bag) is large enough to stow away your phone, wallet, keys, favorite lip gloss, and more—but just small enough to allow you to turn your BF away gracefully, as he inevitably (and irresponsibly) asks you to please hold onto his this or his that.

Miss out on the debut of McQueen‘s Faithful bootie and its imposters last summer? Well, alterna-brand, T.U.K. has so kindly graced us with their version of this biker-jacket-to-boot transformation–and, I have to admit, I (gasp) may even like it better. For one, I never fully understood the concept of the open-toed boot. Don’t you wanna keep your tootsies nice and toasty when you opt to don a pair of boots (as they’re usually worn in cooler temps)? Therefore, I simply love the fact that these are good ole closed-toe shoes. Also, the heel on this appears to be a bit shorter and sturdier, making it much easier to traverse the city’s treacherous winter streets–which, in Philadelphia, can sometimes be confused for luge tracks. So, I suggest pouncing on these babies quick, as the rest of the competition I was able to conjure up has, for the most part, all dried up.

Masculine military meets feminine flow-y with this must-have wardrobe mainstay by J.Crew. Bleu de Chanel ($59-$79) is a new, delightfully woody, aromatic fragrance for the special kind of man who defies convention; the kind of man who resists the ordinary and scoffs at the everyday scent. Bleu de Chanel, created by Chanel’s in-house perfumer Jacques Polge contains hints of citrus, ‘deep blue sea’ accord, peppermint, pink pepper, nutmeg, ginger, jasmine, cedar, vetiver, patchouli, labdanum and frankincense. And as you might imagine, it’s the kind of fragrance that will persevere with you throughout the entire day but won’t leave your company pinching their noses in distaste. For every sophisticated man or woman knows the importance of finding a signature scent–so take my word for it: this is the one you’ve been seeking. It’s got that certain something guaranteed to please the senses of anyone lucky enough to get a little close.

These past few seasons, we were all introduced (some, against our will) to the insanely high-heeled platform. Before you could say “broken ankle,” I found myself putting all of my flats back into the “see you later” closet. Now, even though I don’t wear flats as much as I did before, they are always hot in my fashion world, which is why I got so excited witnessing their “comeback” this past summer, as evident in runway shows put forth from the likes of Hannah MacGibbon for Chloé, among others.

That being said, YSL is currently offering up a comfortable collection of amazing colorful flats. Initially, I was a bit surprised; when I think YSL footwear, I immediately think sky-high pumps. However, YSL really got my attention with these adorable shoes. Now, careful: they might look plastic, but these are, in fact, patent leather. Beautiful, high-quality patent leather in a rainbow variety of colors, to be precise. I also love how these have a square toe that makes them look like a true ballerina flat. Maybe Stefano Pilati was inspired by Natalie Portman‘s Black Swan opening this week (can’t wait!), or perhaps he just wanted to do something special for the holidays. Hmm. Regardless, I’m yearning for these babies—big time. So if you want to feel like a truly fashionable ballerina, this is the shoe for you. All you’ll need is about 500 dollars…

I’ve always belonged to the school of thought that if I’m going to pay a little extra for something, it darn well better feel like butter on my body (the exception being REALLY fabulous shoes). This winter, whether you plan on fighting holiday crowds at the mall, dodging bums in the city, or just mentally waltzing the web, you may as well do it in style… right?

J.Crew‘s Skinny Ultra Lounge Pants ($59.50), honestly, don’t even look like lounge pants–so it comes as no surprise that they’re not only a favorite of the J.Crew design team, but are also highly coveted by the staff over at Lucky as well. For immediate incorporation into your wardrobe, simply replace the usual leggings with these babies layered ‘neath your favorite tunic, add in some cutebooties, and shazam! Comfort chic. Plus, you’ll gain some always useful–and bum-flattering– back pockets in the process.

So, to all you ladies who were out in your PJs gathering ankle sweats on Black Friday: no more excuses! Stop the insanity and forgo the frump!

There is nothing more beautiful than a well-structured, defined cape that hangs from your body just so–one that moves in all the right ways when you do. This from what I can tell, is exactly that cape: with its perfect drape, gorgeous khaki green coloring, minimal embellishment (What is a cape if it’s not simple?), and extremely reasonable cost (though it seems to vary between $86-112 depending on what day you happen to visit the site). In any case, if you’ve done the math, at $86 or $112, this cape + you = a match made in guilt-free, highly fashionable heaven. And with all that cash you so deftly saved by nabbing this on sale, you’ll have plenty to spare on those shearling booties you’ve been obsessing over all season long.

Detmar Blow’s controversial new work, Blow by Blow: The Story of Isabella Blow, about his late wife and international style icon Isabella Blow, is a guaranteed page turner. Isabella was most known for discovering the late and the great Alexander McQueen, milliner Philip Treacy, and British model Sophie Dahl, among many others. Blow by Blow is set for release today in the United States.

Stuff my muff. That’s the captivating caption that hangs around my neck courtesy of In God We Trust‘s endearingly sweet “sweet nothings” pendants. The older I get, the more reasonable (read: comfortable) my shoe purchases have become. This past summer was full of wedges—not only do they give my 5’2” frame a nice little ego boost, but they’re also running-away-from-random-weirdos-worthy. Needless to say, this winter isn’t going to be any different. Dolce Vita’s Mariner Wedge boot combines both fashion and function into one pretty sweet package. It’s time to buy a leather skirt. Yes, you heard me. Leather is back, and I love this look paired up with black opaque tights and a chic black bootie for fall. Make sure it’s tight, on the high-waisted side, and hits well above the knee; then, you can rock a more feminine, flow-y top (I also love this teamed up with a cable-knit sweater!) to complete the contrast. I don’t know about you, but I’m falling hard for Collina Strada‘s Sierra Bag in Black Diamond. The stacked leather detailing, marbelized canvas print, and my propensity for bucket bags makes this an attractive contender in the search for a perfect, versatile night and day bag (as well as a great transitional article as the new fall season approaches). Not only does this bag look fantastic, but the company boasts that it is just as sweet and nice as it is beautiful–and we all love a well-rounded purchase. Another convenient trait of the bucket bag shape is its deceptive roominess, which really comes in handy for when you’re fiddling at your front doorstep trying to consolidate those pesky extraneous purchases
