TRENDING: PRESS-ON LIP ART

It was Dior that first catapulted the trend of press-on beauty when the fashion house released Velvet Eyes, a stick-on eyeliner in Winehouse-worthy shapes and red-carpet worthy intensity. Since then, the no-smudge, no-budge trend has moved on from eyes to lips with the release of experimental brand Violent Lips‘s lip tattoos, spotted recently on celebs Jessie J. and Keyshia Cole. Each pack of this product contains three single-use lip transfers in twinkling glitter, polka, fishnet, rainbow and even animal print.

The application is similar to the old Cracker Jack water-transfer tattoos and since this ‘lipstick’ goes on and comes off in one thin layer, placement is crucial, as the appliqué stays put for hours. The end result is attention-grabbing lips without any gritty, glitter texture or tell-tale kisses left behind.
