Love her or hate her, you’ve got to admit that Ashlee Simpson (you heard us) has quite the coveted rocker-chic wardrobe. America’s favorite–and newly single–lip sync’er is currently working on a new album (yeah, we know), as well as a collaboration with older sis, Jess, on a clothing line featuring footwear and frocks for the tween set.

Upon a recent arrival at LAX, Ashlee looks comfy yet totally put together. To me, this look screams one part Agyness Deyn (blonde pixie cut) and one part Jenny Lewis (cute short-shorts), with a black fedora serving as the perfect common denominator. All of this essentially equates to me dividing my legs in preparation for a fashion idol hard-onBe right back…

Now that I’ve eaten some chocolate and composed myself, it’s time to dissect Ms. Simpson’s style. The black fringed bucket bag on her left (our right, or, the non-Chanel side) is by Rebecca Minkoff. Now, as much as we love us some designer duds, it’s not always in the every-girl’s budget. So, allow me to present to you some more wallet-friendly (ok, and a few splurge-worthy) options for your consideration, bags and beyond…

1. YesStyle Pleated Polka Dot Shorts with Belt, $23
2. David Lerner Organic Cap Sleeve Pocket Tee, $25
3. Jimmy Jazz Essential Oxford Lo Boot, $10 (Super sale!)
4. Forever 21 Woven Fedora, $10
5. Express Chain Tassel Long Necklace, $35
6. Big Buddha Penny Lane Bucket Bag, $90
7. BCBGeneration Sophie Large Satchel $62 (I’m not one for Chanel knock-offs–this is vegan-friendly and will get the job done just as well.)
