TRENCH TOWN: OUTERWEAR YOU’LL WANT TO LIVE IN THIS SPRING

In just two weeks, we will be in the safe harbor and warmth of April, which, personally, is my favorite time of the year. One of the things that makes April so exciting for me is knowing that I’ll finally be able to shake off my overwhelming sleeping-bag-of-a-winter-coat and exchange it for more sensible outerwear that doesn’t leave me feeling completely stifled–or make me feel like my torso is being engulfed by a giant sphygmomanometer (blood pressure meter).

So in preparation for this long-awaited change in weather, I began trolling the internet in search of the perfect, classic trench with a twist to usher in spring. Why the trench specifically? Because it’s a great investment piece to own–for any gal (or guy)–whatever your particular style niche may be. Whether you decide to opt for something simple that doesn’t stray too far from the familiar and more conservative, khaki knee-length, or go with something a bit more adventurous in print, cut, or embellishment–you can’t really go too wrong in a trench. Throw yours over a flirty shift dress and heels or let it live overtop of your Monday through Friday office-ensembled-self, you’ll find that your trench will employ itself in a number of useful ways, all while making you appear effortlessly polished and styled.

Working on a budget? Then you’ve come to the right place. Chances are, if you’re ‘normies’ like us, you don’t have thousands to burn on a single article of clothing–coat or otherwise (but I’ll tell you what, if I did, my first stops would certainly be here and here). That dirty, six-letter word (reality) has rained on our parade one too many times, but this time we’ve prevailed with some beautiful within-reach options for your consideration this spring.
