GET HIGH IN THIS SEASON’S PLATFORM ALTERNATIVE: THE FLATFORM

Ladies, let’s all take a moment to give up three cheers for flatforms! Why? Because this is a trend that’s friendly to those of us (myself included) who may perhaps be incredibly challenged when it comes to donning the high heel and platform. Not that I necessarily need a boost in height, as I clock in at almost 5’11”—but sometimes you come across that certain, special outfit that calls for a bit of lift for the sake of dressing things up. So forget about depriving yourself of the fun, elevated (and hot for spring) 70’s-flavored footwear out there because flatforms are here for everyone, petite or tall.

If you’ve been eyeing the spring runways lately, you may have noticed flatforms lighting up the catwalks left and right, and lucky for you, they’ve already started the trickle down to retail–particularly in sandal form. So little babies, let’s all come together this spring and get fashionably high, together:

Top to bottom: Wonda 3-Strap Mid-Wedges, $100; Cooperative Janus Platform Sandal, $59; Dolce Vita Layla Espadrille, $98

Top to bottom: Sheridan Mia Grain Leather Sandal, $275; Kors by Michael Kors Brielle Espadrille Slide, $100; Stella McCartney Falabella Canvas Espadrille, $445
