STEAL HER STYLE: RACHEL BILSON

Although Rachel Bilson has been laying rather low on the film radar, she certainly hasn’t strayed far from fashion’s beguiling eye. Every week, as I flip through my glossy mags and fashion blogs, there she is, always looking effortlessly chic. I honestly can’t remember the last time I went more than four days without seeing a feature on her. Seriously, I’m willing to bet a Wang on it. So let us join in on this avalanche of accolades and discover how we too can acquire a taste of The O.C.–on an East Coast-potentially-non-descript-town budget.

Here, at a party in LA to celebrate the opening of Vanessa Bruno’s new boutique on Melrose, Rachel looks every bit the California girl (and maybe a touch of Paris?) in a flowy cape jacket ($795) and silk dress ($573) by Ms. Bruno herself.

Without further ado, the goods:

Booyah!
Forever 21 Pleated Knit Skirt, $12
French Connection Iron Eagle Clutch, $32 (on SUPER sale!)
Frye Corrina Campus Wedge, $125 Considering the thrifty prices of the other items–and the fact that you’ll be fabulously floating around on your feet most of the day–these are a very worthy splurge.
Urban Renewal Cropped Menswear Blazer, $20
Xhilaration Navy Stripe Woven Tank, $17

To winterize this look, simply add in some good ol’ staple black opaque tights and an oversized scarf or draped pashmina:
Apt. 9 Oversized Twill Pashmina, via Kohl’s, $25
Merona Opaque Tights, via Target, $7

Bust!
Vanessa Bruno Cape Jacket, $795
Vanessa Bruno Silk Crepe Dress, $573

  1. Really great styling ideas, Natalie! Love that you review affordable fashion pieces mixed with the pricey ones! The “Forever 21”, very affordable, sweet, red skirt would look darling on a very classy girl I know! Thanks for ideas! Sweet! 🙂

  2. Yes, agree with Cris’ post – affordable prices for the rest of us to get the look! Thanks.
