GET A BOOT UP ON THE WEATHER!

I’ve never really been much of a rain boot kind of guy, but recently, they’ve become something of an obsession for me. Cover a shoe in rubber, fill it with fur, and somehow–for whatever reason–I am filled with joy.

Lately, I’ve noticed that rain boots are pretty much universally adored. You’d have to be blind to miss the spunky sorority girls littering college campuses, the fashion-conscious ladies of NYC shuffling their way to work, and yes, even the debonair men decorated in full suit and tie–all sporting rubber rain boots. Because the bottom line is that wet feet piss everyone off.

With this in mind, allow me to present to you a short list of my three favorite rain boots, all at varied price points. Because every man, woman, and child, rich or poor (or living rich and remaining poor) possesses the inalienable right to dry feet!

1. Gucci Boot shown in black ($295)
I mean, there isn’t much to say. You all know how I feel about Gucci. If you have the extra cash, you know you will find a use for these. These will make you pray for rain.

2. Hunter Boot shown in red ($125)
Hunter is, hands down, the essential rain and snow boot. I own a pair of classic Hunters and I love them! It’s the sleek silhouette and slight hint of a heel that make me feel like British royalty just out checkin’ the mail. $125 is a rather small price to pay to feel like royalty, don’t you think?

3. Tretorn Boot shown in white ($36)
Tretorn has filled the world with Swedish goodness since 1891. This brand’s gorgeous rubber boots are truly the perfect antidote for a stormy day.
